Tullamore seek to end parish agreement

May 22, 2015

The Tullamore GAA club have made a request to the Offaly County Board to end a parish rule agreement.

Tullamore, Ballinamere and Durrow have a parish agreement in place at present, but the town club have written to the county board requesting that it be abolished.

Under the agreement, any club that could not field at underage level could line out for one of the other clubs.

County Board chairman Padraig Boland stated that as Ballinamere and Durrow were unaware of the letter, they should be given time to discuss the matter.
