DIVISION 1 FOOTBALL LEAGUE
Raheen Senior Footballers were shown the harsh realities of how far they have to go to reach the top of the pecking order in the county as they were well beaten by the reigning county champions Rhode in Div 1 League last Tuesday week in Rhode on a scoreline of 3-13 to 0-09. Raheen did open the scoring with a pointed free inside the first minute but Rhode then got off the mark with a goal on 5 mins followed immediately by their first point. The remainder of the half saw both sides add 5 points along with a second goal for Rhode which had the suspicion of square ball about it and so at the break Rhode led 2-06 to 0-05. Any hope of a comeback was wiped out straight from the restart when Rhode struck for goal no 3 direct from a 20m free. The remainder of the half saw Rhode wrap it up scoring 7 points to Raheen's 4.

DIVISION 3 FOOTBALL LEAGUE
Raheen Junior Footballers suffered their first league defeat of the year against Clara in the final round of the Div 3 group stage last Thursday evening in Clara on a scoreline of 1-15 to 2-08. Despite the defeat Raheen are still in contention ti secure a place in the Div 3 Semi Finals. Clara drew first blood with the opening 2 points before Raheen got off the mark with their first 2 points to draw level before going in front with their first goal midway through the half when Ian O'Halloran's midfield shot was taken by Donie Boland who ran into the square before passing it to Conor McNally to turn and shoot low to the net. Clara came back with the next 6 points in a row to lead at the break 0-08 to 1-02. Again Clara put over the first 2 points of the second half before Raheen came back with a point followed by their second goal on 10 mins excellantly finished by Sean McFadden. Thereafter for the next 10 mins both sides added 4 points apiece to swap the lead before Clara finally clinched it with a point followed by their goal with just over 5 mins left. Raheen did add the last point but could not get any closer.

JUNIOR B HURLING CHAMPIONSHIP
Raheen Hurlers suffered their second defeat in the Junior B Championship as they lost out to Coolderry in Coolderry last Sunday afternoon on a scoreline of 3-13 to 0-12 in Rd 3 which leaves their Championship aspirations in severe difficulty. The first half was a tight affair with both sides scoring 6 points apiece but Raheen were undone straight from the throw in for the second half as Coolderry got in to score their first goal. By midway through the half both sides had added 4 points apiece but the concession of 2 more goals by Raheen ensured there would be no way back and Coolderry wrapped it up with 3 more points to Raheen's 2 in the final 10 mins.
