Club Faithful To Hold Event Ahead of Footballers Championship Opener

May 11, 2015

CLUB FAITHFUL, the Offaly GAA Supporters club will hold a pre match 'Gathering' on Saturday the 16th of May at 4.30pm ahead of the Offaly v Longford Leinster Senior Football championship clash in O'Connor Park at 7pm the same evening.
The event will be held in the Tullamore GAA centre, across the road from O'Connor Park and it will give supporters from the clubs of Offaly a chance to get together before the match and help build an atmosphere ahead of the big game.
Dinner will be served on the evening and there will be a full bar in operation also while some well known pundits in the GAA world will be on hand to preview the all important championship clash between Offaly and Longford.
Former Offaly manager and Longford native Eugene McGee will be joined by 1997 Leinster Championship winning duo Roy Malone and Vinny Claffey with more guests expected to join them on the evening.  Offaly hurling legend and RTE pundit Michael Duignan will be the MC for the evening.
It is hoped that the clubs of Offaly will be out in force to support Offaly on Saturday 16th May as a home championship game is an advantage best utilised with a big home following.
Tickets for the event can be bought from your local club and through Club Faithful directly.  Tickets are priced at just 15 euro per person and that includes dinner and parking for the match (if parked by 5pm) in O'Brien Park, the home of Tullamore GAA.
Club Faithful have also invited the parents of the players on the Offaly Senior football panel as their guests on the evening along with the partners of members of the backroom team.
After the match, the Club Faithful supporters zone which is normally held under the stand in O'Connor Park, will also take place in the Tullamore GAA centre and as always, that is open to everyone to come over for complimentary tea and coffee.
The Offaly players and management will also be in attendance after the game as they are holding their after match meal in the GAA Centre also.
This is not a fundraising venture but any profits made from this event will be put back into the underage teams in the County to fund such schemes as the educational Grinds for Minor panels which are currently on-going and other such future endeavors to help underage development.
