April 16, 2015

Referee.

The GAA has confirmed its panels of referees for the 2015 football and hurling championships.

The football panel has increased from 16 to 18 referees this year, while there has been a change to the format of the hurling panel.

There are three new members on the football panel - Seán Hurson (Tír Eoghain), Patrick Neilan (Ros Comáin) and Derek O'Mahoney (Tiobraid Árann).

The format of the hurling panel has changed from a panel of four who took charge of the Leinster Senior Hurling Championship Qualifiers and eight who officiated the remaining games in the Championship last year.

In 2015, the decision has been made to have one panel of 12 referees for all games in the Senior Hurling Championship.
