Daingean made the long trip west, to take on Shannonbridge on Saturday in round 4 of the league, hoping to avoid to a 4th consecutive defeat.

After playing against a stiff breeze in the 1st half, Daingean managed to stay in touch via a well-taken Shane Tierney goal to go in at half-time only one point adrift.

The 2nd half saw Daingean up the tempo significantly as they started to take over the game. Some fine scores were added but the concession of a soft penalty and subsequent goal managed to keep Shannonbridge in the game. Daingean finished the stronger, however, and were full value for their 4 point victory in the end and with it, their 1st points of the campaign.

Final score: Shannonbridge 1-7 Daingean 1-11
