Offaly manager Brian Whelehan feels that they two week-break will benefit them.

Defeated by Wexford last Sunday means that Offaly have one win from two games and with a lot of tough games ahead, Whelehan admitted to the Midland Tribune that it was a good chance to get some work done.

"It gives us a chance to regroup and have a look at things and have a look at making whatever changes we need to make before the next day," said Whelehan.

"It will also give us a chance to get a bit of rest into the players as well because that will have taken an awful lot out of them. We have to plan and regroup for Waterford. That will be a big game for us.

"We will regroup, look at the video and look at the Waterford game as well and look at what game plan they will look to bring to Tullamore."
