U16 Football League
Tullamore under 16 s began their league campaign away to na Fianna in Geashill and unfortunately came away well beaten by a bigger more physical team. The Blues battled well in the first half with the wind and were competitive until the concession of a couple of goals. Tullamore worked the scoreboard through points from Tom Furlong, a beautifully struck 45 from Joe Dwyer, and 2 sweet left footed frees from Shane Martin. Against the elements Tullamore were always fighting a rearguard action, and were brave to the last but scoring chances were at a premium. Fair play to all the lads who played their part and worked so hard on the day, stay at it lads, stay working hard, Continue with the training, there are going to be plenty of games throughout the year so stay coming up and driving it on.
