Cillian Farrell and Damien Fox have joined Offaly hurling manager Brian Whelahan's backroom team as coaches.

An All-Ireland medallist with Offaly in 1998, Edenderry man Farrell had managed Meath for three years before stepping down during the summer. Fox, who famously won an Offaly SHC medal at the age of 48 as Tullamore goalkeeper in 2009, managed the Laois hurlers in 2007 and '08.

He has also taken charge of a host of club teams, including Portlaoise, Tinnahinch, Castletown-Geoghegan and, more recently, Lucan Sarsfields.

Whelahan has also brought Kilmacud Crokes physical trainer Declan Browne on board as strength and conditioning coordinator, with ex-Carlow hurler Des Shaw to oversee the training.

The Millennium Man's selectors are Ger Coughlan and John Troy.
