Under 14 Hurling
Tullamore hosted  Na Fianna in their final group game in the U-14 hurling championship on Sunday 28th September in what was a top of the table clash and proved to be one of the most exciting games of the year so far. Na Fianna hit Tullamore with a goal early on to rock the home side. Tullamore took a few minutes to recover from that blow and soon after registered their first point from a Kevin Kelleher free. Na Fianna then pointed and showing great determination Tullamore drew level with points from K Kelleher (2) and a massive point from Jack Mitchell. Na Fianna again gained the advantage scoring 1-1 coming up to the break but Tullamore finished the half stronger scoring points from K Kelleher and Padraic Martin to be just 2 points in arrears at the break  Tullamore 0-6 Na Fianna 2-2. The second half was special with the tension, determination and skill level  at its highest after the home side drew level for a second time with 2 points from K Kelleher. For the next 20mins both sides scored 4 points each (3 K Kelleher pointed frees and a beauty from Sean Robilliard) and a brilliant save from Ciaran Egan kept the scores level on a further 4 occasions.  The game swung Na Fianna's way after a couple of Tullamore changes opened the door for them to shoot over 4 points (3 frees) in the final minutes to leave the final score: Tullamore 0-12 to Na Fianna's 2-10. It was a fantastic game of hurling played in the correct spirit by two determined teams with excellent Tullamore performances from Ciaran Egan in goal, Aidan Bracken in defence, Diarmuid Egan in Midfield, Kevin Kelleher in attack with Man of the Match going to Sean Robilliard for his attitude and tremendous work rate. Tullamore: C Egan, A Guilfoyle,  D Connolly, J Dwyer, K Fenlon, A Bracken, K Mann, D Egan, C Izuchukwu,  K Kelleher(0-09, 7 frees), S Robilliard(0-01), J O'Reilly, P Martin(0-01), J Mitchell (0-01), M Keegan, C Kelly, M Feeney, S Courtney, C Farrell, C Digan, C Lambe, D Carroll, C Martin, C Waters, B Leavy, D Molloy, E O'Connor, D Flynn, A Berry, B Todd. Thanks to all for your continuing support  and please support the team again in their quarter final meeting with Kilcormac-Killoughey in Killurin next Saturday 11th at 1:30pm.

Under 14 Football
Our under 14 footballers' impressive championship campaign came to an end when they were beaten by Ferbane/Belmont in the semi-final in Tubber on Friday night. The Tullamore team battled bravely against a Ferbane side which was much improved from the group stage when they were beaten by the Blues. Tullamore were 0-1 to 0-6 behind at the break and despite a great effort in the second half succumbed 3-11 to 0-4 at the finish. Though disappointed with the result, the entire panel can be proud of their work during the year when their brand of exciting football earned super victories in the championship over St Rynagh's, DER Gaels, Ferbane and Gracefield. Many of the footballers now turn their attention to the hurling championship where they have reached the quarter-final stage. The Tullamore panel last Friday was - Padraic Martin, Matthew Keegan, Diarmuid Egan, Cian Martin, James Dwyer, Kalvin Fenlon, Kevin
Kelleher, Jamie O'Reilly, Cormac Izuchukwu, Oisin Keenan Martin, Myles Maloney, Ben Connolly, Ciaran Egan, Sean Robilliard, James Mullen, Conor Lambe, Alex Guilfoyle, Jack Mitchell, Cody Walsh, Cormac Kelly, Jack Harvey, Dylan Boland, Michael Feeney, Dean Molloy, Ciaran Digan, Eoin O'Connor, Adam Kearney, Dean Carroll, Joe Dwyer, Oisin Rice. On behalf of the club we would like to thank the boys for their hard work throughout the year and for the joy they brought their many supporters in their last number of games. Thank you to the large crowd of Tullamore supporters who came out in large numbers to support the boys despite the weather on Friday night. A final mention to their very committed management team of Mervyn Griffin, Peter Martin, Joe Egan and Gearóid Keegan who have brought this team so far this year and can be very proud of the lads.
