U14 FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP
Na Fianna U14 Footballers completed the group stage of the Championship with 4 wins out of 4 as they saw off the challenge of DER Gaels in the final round last Friday evening in Pullough on a scoreline of 3-12 to 2-08 to assure themselves of top spot in the group and now move on to the Quarter Final where they will most likely face neighbours St Vincents. Both sides opened the scoring with 2 points apiece before DER broke through to score the first goal on 9 mins to go in front. The sides then added a point apiece before Na Fianna struck for their first goal midway through the half when Lee Mulpeter's pass from one side of the square to the other was caught by Aiden Pierce was caught on the endline and he blasted it into the top left corner of the net. 3 more points came along for Na Fianna along with 1 for DER before Na Fianna finished the half in style as they dispatched their 2nd goal in the last min when Craig Strong shot a high ball in over the top where it was caught by Ger Plunkett in the square and he turned and shot low into the net and so at the break Na Fianna led 2-06 to 1-04. Na Fianna made a great start to the second half when an additional point was followed by goal no 3 on 3 mins when Craig Strong passed the ball to Lee Mulpeter just out the square who laid it off for Ger Plunkett who found himself in the clear with just the keeper to beat and he made no mistake as he picked his spot to bury the ball in the net. Both sides then missed a number of chances to add to their tally as it took almost 15 mins for the next score a point for Na Fianna to arrive and they then added 3 more to DER's 2. Then in the final min DER were awarded a 20m free which they struck to the top right corner of the net for their 2nd goal bur this came too late to affect the result as an Fianna rounded off the scoring with the last point a min into stoppage time.

MINOR FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP
Na Fianna Minor Footballers were given a walk over by St Broughans who were unable to field a team in the penultimate round of the Minor Championship last Friday evening.

U16 FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI FINAL
Na Fianna U16 Footballers had luck on their side as they came back from the dead to salvage a draw in their Championship Semi Final against Ferbane / Belmont last Saturday morning in Mucklagh on a scoreline of 1-11 each and yet were unlucky not to have won it in the end. F/B opened the scoring with first 2 points. Na Fianna had a chance to get off the mark in the 11th min when they were awarded a penalty when Conor Langton was brought down but Colin Keogh's shot went just wide and they had to wait another 5 mins before finally getting on the scoreboard with a point. Both sides added a point apiece before F/B put themselves in the driving seat as they struck for a goal in the 25th min when a free was caught by Na Fianna's Adam Kelly on the edge of the square but was knocked out out of his hands and picked up by the F/B player in the clear and he slotted it to the net. Na Fianna had plenty of chances in the first half but their final touch let them down so when they sent over 2 points in stoppage time it was just reward for their efforts and this brought Na Fianna right back into it at the break as they trailed by just 1-03 to 0-04. It might have been a good finish to the first half for Na Fianna but was a very bad start to the second half as F/B scored the first 5 points without reply inside 5 mins. Na Fianna finally got up and running as they came back with the next 3 points within 3 mins. Then over the next 15 mins both sides added 3 points apiece and so inside the last 10 mins Na Fianna still trailed by 4 points. They needed a break to go their way and it finally arrived in the 25th min when Colin keogh's 45 was caught on the endline by Reece Seery who pass ed it across goal and in the ensuing scramble Conor Langton managed to knock it into the net and 2 mins later David Buckely fired over a super point from out on the wing to draw level. Then from the 2 F/B kickouts that followed Na Fianna managed to work the ball back in and were very unlucky not to score a winning point and so both sides will be gratefull to get another crack at the whip.
