JUNIOR B FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI FINAL REPLAY
After salvaging a draw first time out unfortunately Raheen had no luck in the replay of the Junior B Championship Semi Final and bow out as they lost out to Kinnitty on a scoreline of 3-05 to 1-03 last Friday evening in O'Brien Pk, Tullamore. The first 20 mins of the first half saw both sides get off the mark with just 1 point apiece before Raheen tagged on another point. Then on 23 mins Raheen struck for their goal when Niall Leavy intercepted the ball in midfield and loobed it in high to the square whre  it was caught by Shane Hyland on the endline who ran in and rounded the keeper to stick it in the net. The joy of the goal was short lived  their as Kinnitty hit back with their 1st goal just 2 mins later followed by a pointed free to draw level. Jack Keogh put over a free from out on the sideline just on the stroke of half time to put Raheen back in front at the break 1-03 to 1-02. The second half was a disaster for Raheen as despite creating plenty of chances their finishing touch deserted them as they were unable to add to their tally and Kinnitty scored 2-03 to seal the win and claim their place in the final.

U16 FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP QUARTER FINAL
Na Fianna U16 Footballers have at least equalled last year's achievement by reaching the Semi Finals of the Championship again this year as they showed great heart and determination to knockout the previously unbeaten Ballinamere / Durrow in the Quarter Final last Monday week in O'Brien Pk, Tullamore on a scoreline of 2-10 to 2-09. B/D opened the scoring with a point in the 2nd min but then Na Fianna got going as they got off the mark with 4 points in a row before striking their first goal on 11 mins when a quick break upfield saw David Buckley lay it off to Cathal Curran about 30m out who found himself in the clear and he ran all the way in before burying the ball past the keeper into the net. Unfortunately Na Fianna could not build on the goal as neither side could add to their tally for almost 10 mins until B/D got going as they hit their purple patch as they scored 2-03 in a row to re-take the lead but David Buckley kept Na Fianna in touch as he fired over a point with the last kick of the half which would prove crucial in the end and this left B/D leading at the break by 2-04 to 1-05. Na Fianna hit the ground running at the start of the second half as they struck for their second goal in the 3rd min when a David Buckley's 45m free was caught on the endline by Conor Langton who passed it across goal where Ray Daly was on hand to palm it to the net and he then added 2 points along with another from David Buckley by the 7th min to turn it round again and put Na Fianna 4 points up. The next 15 mins saw B/D first respond with 3 points in a row to cut it down to a single point before Na Fianna opened it up again with what would be their final 2 points from Ray Daly and Cathal Curran. B/D were not giving up and hit back with 2 points in the last 3 mins but despite 2 late chances could not find the equaliser and Na Fianna held on to claim the win and the place in the Semi Finals.
