Under 8 Football
The Under 8 footballers finished off a fantastic GAA Year on Saturday last  with a super blitz in Tubber. With the sun shining, both teams played brilliantly winning five out of six matches. Thanks to all the parents who came to support the lads and for their continued support during the year. Thanks to team management of Willie Cronly, Brian O'Reilly, David White and Michael Flynn.

Under 14 Hurling
Tulllamore's under 14 hurlers travelled to Rahan on Friday last to take on Shamrocks in Round 3 of the championship and recorded a hard fought win against a resilient home team. Tullamore registered 3 points in the early exchanges before Shamrocks got their first score from a free.  With Shamrocks in determined mood Tullamore had to work hard for every ball with their work paying off with another 3 points. Shamrocks came back and were denied a goal when Ciaran Egan caught and cleared the ball.  Three quick points followed for Tullamore but Shamrocks hit back with a pointed free and a goal after good full-forward play. Tullamore got lucky as their next attack from a Kevin Kelleher 60m free the ball ended in the net. The first half ended with both sides getting a point each leaving the score Shamrocks 1-03 to Tullamore 1-10.   The second half was much the same with Shamrocks fighting for every ball and Tullamore battling to get scores but did register 2 points and a second goal from a free before the home side attacked to point another free. The Shamrocks keeper pulled off a great save from Ciaran Burns but then three K Kelleher points in a minute left Tullamore in command however Shamrocks did not give up and proved this as they hit the net again with five minutes remaining. The game finished with Tullamore registering 1-1 to a Shamrocks point leaving the final score Shamrocks 2-05 Tullamore 3-16. Tullamore had to work hard for this win and without the great work of the defence, the scoring of K Kelleher (frees and play) and the work rate of Diarmuid Egan and Matthew Keegan this would have been a much closer contest. As well as the lads mentioned, Tullamore had 2 superb performances from corner backs, Captain Darragh Connolly and Man of the Match James Dwyer. Tullamore: C Egan, D Connolly, J Mitchell, J Dwyer, K Fenlon, A Bracken, K Mann, J O'Reilly(0:03), D Egan(0:03), K Kelleher(3:06, 3:02 Frees), S Robilliard, C Burns(0:02), M Keegan(0:01), C Kelly(0:01), M Feeney, S Courtney, C Farrell, D Flynn, C Mills Gorman, C Digan, C Lambe, D Carroll, C Martin, C Waters, A Berry, O Keenan Martin. Thanks to all for the great support as it is greatly appreciated by players, coaches and the club. Training continues on Friday at 6pm, new members always welcome.
