Under 10 Football
Our under 10 footballers travelled to Clara on Monday evening last to take part in a blitz. It was great to see three teams from Tullamore enjoy the games. Each team played with enthusiasm and displayed their ever improving skills in their challenging games. Well done to all players and mentors. Thanks also to all our supporters.

Under 14 Hurling
The under 14 hurlers boarded the bus to Banagher last Friday evening for their first round championship match against St Rynaghs. Right from the throw in the two sides showed that they both wanted to win their first game. Tullamore registered the first score with a point from Padraic Martin but St Rynaghs hit back with their own point from a free. Tullamore then gained the upper hand with a three points in a row however, back came St Rynaghs with a goal from a long ball into the box. Tullamore again attacked and created two great goal chances before finally finishing to the net. St Rynaghs upped the pressure on the Tullamore defence and had the ball in the net minutes after they had one ruled out by the referee. Tullamore did not let that setback affect them as they drove forward and scored a further two points(1 from a penalty). St Rynaghs pointed from a free just before half time to leave the score St Rynaghs 2-02 to Tullamore's 1-06. The second half had the same intensity but it was Tullamore that started to win all the positions on the field with the defence digging in deep and clearing everything that came their way. With the defence in command the midfield and forwards began to dominate as they scored 1-08 from the supply of ball from the defence. While that score was impressive the real stories were, the defensive unit that held the home side scoreless in the second half and the performance of P Martin at full forward notching up five points. Well done to the entire squad as this was totally a team performance. Final score St Rynaghs 2-02 Tullamore 2-14. Tullamore: C Egan, D Connolly, J Mitchell, A Guilfoyle, K Fenlon, A Bracken, K Mann, C Izucuchwu, D Egan(0-01), K Kelleher(0-02), S Robilliard(1-00), C Burns, M Keegan(0-02), J O'Reilly(0-01) P Martin(1-08), M Feeney, C Kelly, J Dwyer, S Courtney, C Farrell, C Mills Gorman, C Digan, Eoin O'Connor, D Flynn, C Lambe, D Carroll, C Martin, C Waters, B Todd. Thanks to all who travelled in support as there was as much Tullamore supported as there was for the home side. Training on Tuesday's and Thursday's at 6:30pm, all members please attend with new members always welcome.

Under 16 Football
Tullamore under 16 footballers wrapped up the group stages of the championship with a comprehensive victory over Gracefield in O'Brien park last Monday night. Gracefield got the opening score but Tullamore responded quickly, through Aaron Leavy, Stephen Pyke and Sean McCabe. The Blues settled down nicely and were in control in most areas of the field due to the hard work and good running by all the team. Conor Butler controlled his backline ably assisted by a robust fullback line of Finn, O'Donovan and Hand. Midfield of McCabe and Colin Fogarty were on top and got good support from wingbacks Tiernan Quinn and Adam Finlay. The Blues added further to the score line, with some well taken scores including goals by Ethan Morris and a somewhat fortunate goal by Leavy. Tullamore made some changes at half-time, but this did not loosen their dominance on the game with Brendan Kelliher and Jason O'Dwyer getting in on the scoring act, with some fine points after good team play. This means that the under 16's progress to the knockout stages, so a big effort is needed by all players at every single training session to push on from here. Team: Conor Butler, Brian Finn, Oisin O'Donovan, Robbie Hand, Adam Finlay, Tom Furlong, Tiernan Quinn, Sean McCann, Colin Fogarty, Aaron Leavy, Ethan Morris, Shane Martin, Aaron Malone, Stephen Pyke, Cian Brennan: Subs used Brendan Kelliher, Shay Brennan, Jack McCann, Jason O'Dwyer, Patrick Robbilliard.

Football Championship
The Junior A footballers began a busy football championship weekend on Thursday evening with a great win over Ferbane in Ferbane. Tullamore led at half time 3-6 to 1-4. Three early goals from Ferbane in the second half got Ferbane right back in the game, however Tullamore worked hard and came away with a well earned win. Final Score: Tullamore 4-13 Ferbane 4-11. The Intermediate football championship game against Doon was played in Ballinamere on Sunday morning last. Unfortunately Tullamore did not find their rhythm and were beaten by a better team on the day. Final Score: Tullamore 0-7 Doon 3-16. A few hours later, the blue supporters travelled to Geashill to the senior football championship encounter with Gracefield. It was a close game throughout however it was Gracefield who finished the stronger and went on to win 3-16 to 3-9.
