Football
Daingean played two challenge games in the past week. Last Tuesday night Daingean travelled to Kildare and got the better of Clogherinkoe by 5 points, but on Easter Sunday suffered a heavy home defeat at the hands of Westmeath club side The Downs.

Well done to Shane Tierney and the Offaly minor footballers on their victory over Kilkenny in the 1st round of the Leinster championship at the weekend. While the standard of the opposition was weak, you can only beat what's put in front of you. Shane's own personal contribution of 3-2 on the day, including 3 goals in the opening 11 minutes, proved to be particularly eye-catching and hopefully we'll see plenty more of this in the future.
