The hurlers suffered their second league defeat of the season to St Rynaghs intermediate team in Killeigh on Friday. While the home team put in a good battling performance in the first half, they had no answer to the pace and movement of the Banagher side when they stepped up a gear in the second, and while the Killeigh lads battled to the end a lack of discipline and an over dependence on placed balls for scores left them well adrift by the finish. Junior Football Championship.
The footballers are the first team into championship action when they take on Tubber in Killeigh on Saturday, throw-in 3.30. With a very young squad being developed all support would be greatly appreciated to encourage them along the championship path.
