Darby brands pay-per-view move a 'big mistake'

Sky camera's will be a common sight around the GAA fields this summer.
The man who provided one of the GAA's most iconic moments has voiced his opposition to the deal with Sky Sports.

Seamus Darby, whose late goal for Offaly in the 1982 All-Ireland football final deprived Kerry of a five-in-a-row of Sam Maguire Cups, told the Irish Daily Star at an Irish Autism Action event in Croke Park yesterday: "The sad thing I would see about it is the fact that there are a lot of people living in rural Ireland who may not have Sky or may not be able to see some of the game because they simply can't afford it. I think that would be a big mistake.

"I am thinking of old people or those in very rural areas who live for the GAA. I don't think any genuine GAA follower should be deprived of seeing the games."
