Intermediate League: Emyvale travelled to Killanny on Sunday last & were beaten by two points. Playing with a strong breeze in the first half, they failed to capitalise on this advantage with more players in their own half than up front where they should've been & went in at halftime trailing by three points. They played better football in the second half & brought the deficit down to one point but then Killanny scored a fortuitous goal to put them four up. Emyvale scored another point to leave three points between them in injury time & Emyvale had a couple of goal chances but couldn't convert them.

Wheelbarrow Run: A large group of people are currently undergoing a heavy training programme in preparation for the Wheelbarrow Run which will be held around Emy Lake on the 9th October starting at 3pm. Money raised on the day will go towards the further development & maintenance of the Emy Lake Walkway. This is a very popular walk for people from near & far so all support will be welcome on the day be it with or without a wheelbarrow.
