Corduff club notes

Intermediate Team:

The Intermediate team welcomed Tyholland to Corduff on Sunday last in the Monaghan Electrical Intermediate Football League. A game played in cracking conditions, Tyholland left with the two points winning the game on a scoreline of 0-12 to 0-10.

 

Junior Team:

The Junior team played Sean McDermotts in the Preliminary Round of the Universal Graphics Junior Football Championship on Saturday evening last in Inniskeen, and lost out on a scoreline of 4-21 to 1-04.

 

Minor Team:

The Minor team played Clontibret on Tuesday evening in the final round of the Division 1 league and won on a scoreline of 2-16 to 0-12. The minor grade will continue after the State Examinations.

 

Corduff Gaels G.F.C. Golf Classic:

Golf Classic will take place on Friday 10th June at Mannan Castle. Excellent prizes to be won. Tee Times are still available. Contact Martin 0879849713.

 

JUVENILES

Under 6 / Under 8 / Under 10:

Training as usual on Saturday from 10.00 to 11.15.

 

Under 12:

Our U12s begin their league campaign on Saturday, away to Toome. Despite a good performance the Corduff team lost on a score of Toome (6-18) v (4-15) Corduff.

Round 2 will see Corduff take on Killeevan at home on Wednesday May 25th. Throw in is at 7.30pm

 

Under 14:

Corduff Under 14s ran out winners in their home game against Doohamlet in Round 4 of the league on Monday last, 11-9 to 9-12. Their next league game is another home fixture, this time against Rockcorry, on Saturday May 21st. Throw in is 12.00pm.

 

LADIES

U16 League:

The U16s suffered their first defeat of the season last Monday away to St Brigids. Despite the fact that they were against a stronger side they made a massive effort until the final whistle. Next up Truagh on Mondayevening in Corduff.

 

Management:

Corduff Ladies are delighted to welcome on board the Senior Management team of Diarmuid O'Reilly, Pauric Ruth, Conor Comiskey and Sean King. Together they bring a wealth of experience to the role and we wish them well for the current season in both League and Championship.
