Corduff club notes

Intermediate Team:

The Intermediate Team are away to Emyvale this Saturday evening in the Monaghan Electrical Intermediate Football League for a 7:00pm throw-in. We welcome Inniskeen next Wednesday evening to Corduff with a 7:45pm throw-in.

 

Junior Team:

The Junior Team were away in Clones on Wednesday evening in the Eurotech Junior Football League, see elsewhere for result. On Sunday afternoon, we host Oram with a 4:00pm throw-in.

 

Minor Team:

The Minor Team had an excellent win over Monaghan Harps in Corduff on Tuesday evening, winning on a scoreline of 2-06 to 1-06. Next Tuesday evening, is another home game with Scotstown making the trip up for a 7:30pm throw-in.

 

Friends of Carrickmacross Cancer Society.

The 'Charity Family Fun Run 5 Km' around Carrickmacross, the starting point is the Shirley Arms on Sunday 8th May, at 11am. Don't forget the 'Great Cycle Challenge 60KM' from Carrickmacross to Blackrock on Saturday 16th July.

JUVENILES

Under 6 / Under 8 / Under 10:

Training as usual on Saturday from 10.00 to 11.15.

 

Under 12:

The 2016 Spring League Finals day was held at Cloghan on Monday May 2nd. The Corduff team produced a great performance, in difficult conditions, to beat Currin on a score of 

Corduff (0-24) v (0-4) Currin 

Well done boys & girls!

 

Under 14:

Corduff U14s league round 4 fixture against Doohamlet has been rescheduled for Wednesday May 11th. Throw in at Corduff is 7pm.

 

HANDBALL

24-Hour Handball Marathon:

We would like to thank all the handballers and parents who fundraised and took part in the Marathon over the weekend. Thanks to all their hard work the club has successfully raised €3,000 in support of the GAA Development Fund. Also congratulations to Peter McGarrell who won an Irish handball jersey signed by Paul Brady.
