Scoil Mhuire, Magherarney 50th Birthday Celebrations
Scoil Mhuire Magherarney is celebrating 50 years on its current site as a primary school serving the area of Smithborough and Magherarney. The Board of Management and the school's Parents Association are currently planning a small event which will be held on Saturday May 28th at 3pm to mark this special moment in time. We are planning to hold the event in late May. As part of the event we would like to have a display in the school of old roll books etc. but also photographs. Therefore we are putting out an appeal to the community if anyone has any photographs from the school over the past 50 years we would love to get a copy. We would ask that they be left into the school with the school secretary whereupon they will be scanned and the original returned to the owner or scanned and emailed to the school at [email protected] So get searching those cupboards and spread the word to any past pupils as the more photographs we have the more memories that will be evoked for everyone.
