An Riocht Underage Football Tournaments

An Riocht Down have announced details of their Underage Gaelic Football Tournaments for 2016:
The Paul Farrell Cup & Shield U14 Football 7-a-side will take place at An Riocht (Down) on Saturday 7th May; KILCOO Cup holders, LONGSTONE Shield holders.

The Brian O'Hare Cup & Shield U12 Football 9-a-side will take place at An Riocht (Down) on Saturday 21st May; BURREN Cup holders, SHANE O'NEILLS Shield holders.

The Jim Mulholland Cup & Shield U10 Football 11-a-side will take place at An Riocht (Down) on Saturday 4th June; O'DONOVAN ROSSA MAGHERAFELT Cup holders, SHANE O'NEILLS Shield holders.

The Adrian McAlinden Cup & Shield U8 Football 11-a-side will take place at An Riocht (Down) on Saturday 18th June; BELLAGHY WOLFHOUNDS Cup holders, CULLOVILLE BLUES Shield holders.

Each day the first games throw in at 10.30am, the knock out stages begin at 1.30pm with the Shield Final at 3pm and the Cup Final at 3.15pm. There will be up to 8 pitches in use; further information or to enter any of the tournaments contact [email protected]

These tournaments are sanctioned by Croke Park. The emphasis each day will be on playing against new teams, making new friends and enjoying the occasion. Teas and hot food etc will be available from our newly refurbished kitchen.
Last year 51 Clubs from 11 different Counties took part and already just hours after preliminary notification went out there are entries in from seven different counties.
