A goal by Paul Finlay with 12 minutes of normal time remaining was the score that saw Ballybay get their championship campaign off to a winning start in this hugely entertaining contest in Inniskeen on Sunday evening.

Scotstown, who were defeated in last year's final of the senior football championship got their drive for a 16th senior title off to a winning start when they had that little bit more in their armoury to get over the challenge of Inniskeen in Castleblayney on Saturday evening last..
