Platinum Tanks RFL DIv 2 A

Further to last weeks notes Drumhowan will remain in Division 2A for next year as they finished above Eire Og. The aggregate score in the 2 fixtures between the clubs  was Eire Og 35 Drumhowan 45. Consequently, Drumhowan finished in 5th place, while Eire Og finished in 6th place. The Club would like  to thank the Management Team of Séamus Duffy, Dermot Mc Dermott and Pat Duffy for their effort throughout the year. A big thank you also to all the players who played throughout the league and championship campaign.


Monaghan Electrical IFL - Drumhowan will play another Star Game before Monaghan's All Ireland Quarter Final Clash - probably this weekend Please check Social Media for Date and Opposition


Maguire Transport Div 1 MFC Quarter Final - St. Patrick's narrowly overcame Clontibret in Drumhowan last Tuesday the 21st of July  on a full time scoreline of St Patrick's 2 - 9 Clontibret 1- 10. They will now play the winners of the replay of Donaghmoyne v Seán Mc Dermotts which took place last Tuesday 28th of July. That semi final will take place on Tuesday 11th August.


MFL Div 1 Cup - Last Tuesday 28th July St. Patrick's took on Truagh in Drumhowan. Please check social media for a result. The next game in this competition will be away to Magheracloone on Tuesday 18th of August.


Gerry's Prepared Veg U16 Division 1 Shield . St Patrick's take on Donaghmoyne tonight  Thursday 30th July in Ballybay at 7.30pm The next game will be away to Inniskeen on Thursday 6th August at 7.30pm


Gerry's Prepared  Veg U 14   Div 2 - We play Donaghmoyne away on this Saturday 1st August  at noon. All players should be in Donaghmoyne for 11.20am.

Gerry's Prepared Veg U12  Div 2 Shield Semi Final   Drumhowan 6-10  Toome 2-6 . We over came a gallant Toome side in rain soaked Mc Keown Park on Monday evening last the 27th July. Despite the difficult conditions the team played some good football on the night. We now play Truagh in the final in the next ten days or so. Training continues as directed.

Go Games Blitz - We hosted a successful Blitz in Drumhowan on Thursday night last. We had Cremartin, Tyholland and Ballybay along with ourselves playing a series of games against each other at both Under 8 & Under 10 level. All teams played some excellent football on the night. Thanks to the refeeres, coaches and all who helped out on the night in order to run the event smoothly. Also we ask all parents to encourage your children to practice the basic kicking and catching skills at home.

No training on this Bank Holiday Monday. It will take place on Tuesday night at 7pm instead for all teams from Under 6 to Under 14.

Congratulations - to Enda Duffy who on the 19th of July was a member of the Ulster Winning Monaghan Squad. As a result he will became the 1st Drumhowan player to receive an USFC medal. Also congrats to the kit man Francis Mc Ginnity a vital part of the backroom team.

Good luck to former player Peadar Mc Nally who take over the running of Conlan's Bar, Ballybay  on Friday 31st July
