Blackhill Emeralds 1-11 Drumhowan Geraldines 1-13

On a very disappointing day, we had opportunities to build a substantial lead before the inevitable fight back came in the last quarter. A four point lead was a scant return for the play we had by the time the key turning point came of Drumhowan having a player sent off midway through the second half. Drumhowan being past masters of tight situations raised their game and deservedly took it out and good luck to them. We must now pick ourselves up, come back stronger and persist until we make the break through. Thanks to referee Niall McKenna and his officials, our players and management, everybody who played a role within our club, our generous sponsors and all those who came out and supported our team.
