Aughnamullen club notes

Seniors: The Seniors played their 2nd Game in the league at home to Eire Og last Friday night. This was a much improved performance on the previous game against Aghabog. Playing against the elements in the first half they played some good football and led by 7 at half time with scores from Sean Sheridan, Mark Meegan, Colin Clerkin, Lee Conlan, Keith Sheridan and Eddie Mc Ardle. Into the second half they increased the lead with further scores from the aforementioned Sheridan, Pete Dooney and Colin Clerkin although Eire Og scored a goal but by the end had a comfortable 9 point victory. They played Oram at home on Wednesday last they play away to Scotstown on Sunday next at 2pm all support welcome.

Reserves: Their next game is away to Carrickmacross on Wednesday next the 23rd of April at 7 30pm.

Minors: The Minors played at home to Inniskeen on Tuesday of last week. This was a game where they were defeated by 5 points although they had numerous chances in the first half to be well in front at the break but they were unable to take them and with Inniskeen playing with the elements in the second half they won on a scoreline of 0-19 to 3-05.

Under 16: The Under 16 won their second game in the league on Thursday last with a hard earned victory over a very spirited Emyvale outfit in a game which flowed from start to finish. The determination from this young side has to be admired to secure this win. Next game is on Thursday 24th April away to Carrickmacross.

Under 14: The Under 14 Team play in the Semi Final of the Championship this Saturday the 19th of April at home to Truagh at 12 noon. Come out and support the lads as they try to reach the final.

Under 12: The Under 12 played their 3rd game in the league at home to Toome on Friday evening last in a very good game they were unlucky to beaten by 2 points.Next game is away to Killanny
