Schools: Dunderry back in the winners enclosure

Evan Nolan strikes for Dunderry against Kilbride in the Division 3 Hurling Final.

Dunderry claimed the Allianz Meath Cumann Na mBunscol Division 3 hurling title (9 a side) with a six point win over neighbours Kilbride in the first game of the day at Lomans Park Trim.

Three of the eight finals managed to be played before the pitch became unplayable at the Trim venue.

The winners won this title for the first time last year and led at the break 1-3 to 0-2. Midfielder Evan Nolan was in great form and accounted for 1-4 of the Dunderry total. Mark Leavy scored three points for Kilbride while Harry Bowman got a crucial goal for the team in Black and White in the second half.

After the game Dunderry captain Evan Nolan was presented with the Division 3 Cup by Jamie Leavy captain of the Meath All Ireland Minor B Hurling Championship winning team.
