IHC: Nugent goals fire Kilskyre Moylagh into last four

August 21, 2017

Tommy Nugent gets in his pass for Kilskyre Moylagh during the IHC clash with Dunboyne at Lomans Park Trim

Kilskyre-Moylagh 5-15 Dunboyne 1-4

A comfortable win and results going their way leaves Kilskyre Moylagh topping IHC Group and straight into a semi-final mid September.

The score was probably a little flattering for Kilskyre Moylagh who were more or less out of sight by half time. In fairness to Dunboyne they put it up to Kilskyre Moylagh for the first twenty minutes and there wasn't much between the two sides until Tomas Nugent pulled two from the sky and netted in style. From that point on the scores continued to flow from Peadar Byrne, Benji Smith, Joe Melia and man of the match Junior Reilly.

The second half was more of the same and with the introduction of Tom Shine and Ben Traynor both tagging on some nice points followed by the score of the game from Conor Briody. Credit to Dunboyne they plugged away and put over a couple of nice points and well take goal.

There will be tougher tests for Kilskyre Moylagh with plenty to do before semi final time comes.
