FL Div 2: Ratoath share top spot

April 27, 2017

Ratoath's Bobby O'Brien

Ratoath 3-12 Meath Hill 0-6

Ratoath had a comfortable victory over an understrength Meath Hill side last Saturday night in this A League division 2 football clash. With defence and midfield well on top this set the platform for the forwards to register the scores to reflect their periods of dominance.

As it turned out the 3  goals were the main difference between the teams, where the class of Bobby O'Brien shone through. The high work rate of the Ratoath team was epitomised by the very hard working Richie Lombard. All in all a satisfactory night's work for Terry Mc Ginnis's charges where a number of young players got their first taste of senior football action.

This victory sees Ratoath maintain their position at the top of the league table with 10 points leading on scoring difference from Duleek-Bellewstown who also have 5 wins from their 6 games.
