Nobber 1-11 Curraha 1-7

Nobber got their Division 2 campaign of to a good start with this victory over newly promoted Curraha at Nobber on Saturday evening.

In a tempestuos affair Nobber had 2 players red carded losing the first after 8 minutes and the second late in the game.

In the meantime the referee had a busy time issuing yellow cards to several players from both times.

Nobber had the best of affairs in the opening half lead 1-4 to 0-2 at the break courtesy of Niall Farrell (1-2) and a point each from Alan Farrell and Dale Larkin.

Niall Farrell extended the Nobber lead but then came the expected Curraha revival helped by a 33rd minute goal.

Both sides traded scores and with 7 minutes to go the visitors had reduced the deficit to a point.

Dale Larkin steadied Nobber with 3 points without reply to get the homeside over the line.
