August 26, 2016

Meath and Jenkinstown minor star Conor Harnan

Jenkinstown Gaels got their 1st win of the year at the most important time the business end. Jenkinstown Gaels were full value for their 4 point win over a strong Carnaross/Moynalty team.

Jenkinstown Gaels 2-15  Carnaross/Moynalty 1-14

Huge praise must go to the U16 & U17 management teams for the work that has been done over the past number of months, Jenkinstown Gaels struggled with the loss of numerous players in league games, but with a full team Jenkinstown are a match for any team.

Jenkinstown Gaels had great displays all over the field from Mark Nicholson in goals, full back line of Ryan Phelan, Adam Murphy and John Morris, half back line of Scott Tuite, Conor Harnan and Ciaran Nally, a powerful a dominant midfield displays from Rian Kealy and Matthew Martin, a very hardworking half ford line of Tommy Lee Carroll, Cillian O'Sullivan and Cara O'Brien, and not least a very hungry and hardworking full forward line who never stopped showing all night of Ciaran Harnan, Brian O'Reilly and Roman Regan. Also a special mention to the subs who came on of Cameron Gallagher, Eoin Corrigan, Owen Murphy and Aidan Gilsenan. Unlucky not to get on last night but will be needed along the way in championship football of Thomas McCabe, Paul Gilmartin and Paul Brennan.

Jenkinstown Gaels lost 2 very influential players in Adam Murphy and Ciaran Harnan last night through injury and hoping their recovery powers are something like the Terminators, so that they will be fit and well for the next round.

Special mention to Cara O'Brien, Matthew Martin, Cillian O'Sullivan and Tommy Lee Carroll for outstanding displays throughout the game.
