Saturday's Round Up

July 30, 2016

A fine Oldcastle welcome for the footballers of Aughavas before the start of the Michael Reynolds Memorial match in Millbrook.

In the IFC Walterstown got their campaign aspirations back on track when accounting for Trim while St Ultans picked up a valuable two points.

Neighbours Kilmainhamwood and Meath Hill played out an entertaining JFC draw in Drumconrath.

In Millbrook the Oldcastle (Senior County Finalists and Feis Cup Winners 1998/99) and Aughavas (Leitrim Senior County Champions 2000) teams rolled back the years to play a charity match to honour one of Oldcastle's greatest servants, Michael Reynolds. A great crowd witnessed some the clubs former greats in action. A plaque was unveiled in the Showcall to honour Mick after the match. No doubt there will be some sore limbs and heads in the morning. All money raised was donated to Tom's Walking Wish.

There were great wins for the county minor hurlers and ladies footballers in Pairc Tailteann and St Lomans Park Mullingar.
