Walterstown's Barry O'Connell in action for St Pats College

Walterstown 4-12 Gaeil Colmcille 0-9

Having topped the League but due to a JAFC match in Walterstown, Walterstown had to concede home advantage in their League Semi-Final & entertained Gaeil Colmcille in their new home for the evening, the immaculately appointed pitch in Skryne on a perfect evening for football.

Bruce Springsteen wasn't the only one to put in a fantastic performance last night as Walterstown took the game to the visitors from the start powering through the Kells defence time after time and but for some wasteful shooting the HT score would have had a substantially larger gap between the sides.

HT Walterstown 01:06 v 00:04 Gaeil Colmcille

Walterstown started the 2nd half as they had finished the 1st with the only difference being that they found the range early on and swept to a commanding & justified 02:10 v 00:04 lead at which stage the "Super Blacks" where on top in all sectors of the pitch playing sublime football from 1 to 15 playing on the front-foot with their supreme fitness as well excellent workrate, teamwork, finishing, decision making & ball skills to the fore.

Further goals put the game well beyond the North Meath lads before they picked off some late scores as Walterstown emptied the bench.
