Two wins for Kilmessan

Kilmessan recorded good wins in the Division 2 camogie league and the opening round of the Under 16 championship last night.

Meath Div 2 Camogie League played in Kilmessan 

Kilmessan 4-2. Kildalkey 1-4

Kilmessan continued their good form in the leagues when their 2nd string overcame Kildalkeys 1st team in the Division 2 league. 

Having to play without county stars, the Keogh sisters Aine and Maire, Kildalkey were always going to find the going tough however they have found up and coming talent with youngsters Ellen Conneely and Beverley Lynch showing well for the losers.

Kilmessan had too much fire power in the opening half scoring four goals the best coming from centre forward Ashling McLoughlin. Others to impress for Kilmessan were Amy Duffy, Breda Dennehy and Caoimhe O'Leary

Meath U-16 Championship played in Kiltale 

Kilmessan 8-8. Drumree/Kiltale 3-5

Kilmessan got there u16 championship off to winning ways. Well done to Hallie Crowe, Aoibheen Lally, Aoibheen Kiernan, Rachel o Neil who made there u16 debut. 

Kilmessan scores came from Aisling Walsh (2-5),  Carrie Doyle 2-2,  Ciara Hickey 2-0, Nicole Conlon 1-1 and Leah Dennehy 1-0
