Ratoath aiming to bring Sean Eiffe Cup home

November 25, 2015

Ratoath captain Bobby O'Brien will be hoping to bring back the Sean Eiffe Cup to Sean Eiffe Park

Ratoath will take on Athlone in the Leinster Club IFC final this Saturday and the cup that is up for grabs is named after one of their own.

The prize for the winners in Mullingar has a special resonance for manager Fergal Power and his players as it honours Ratoath native Sean Eiffe who tragically died in 2001.

Ratoath's grounds (Sean Eiffe Park) are also named after the late Garda who played junior football for Meath during his playing career.

Throw-in at Cusack Park is timed for 2pm.
