Dunboyne held off Ratoath in the Summer League final at Pairc Tailteann

St. Peter's Dunboyne and Ratoath will battle it out  in the U16 Championship Final this Friday 4th September at 7pm in Seneschalstown.

The semi-finals of this competition were played at the end of May, when Dunboyne just came out on top against Na Fianna, whilst Ratoath comfortably overcame Dunshaughlin. Junior Cert exams and the start of the holiday season, meant that the final was deferred until September to allow both teams to have their full squads available.

The sides did meet recently in Pairc Tailteann in the Summer League final, with Dunboyne holding off a spirited Ratoath comeback to win by the bare minimum.

Fridays game is expected to be another close encounter, with both sides determined to win championship honours.

These sides have several Meath U15 & U16 county players, so expect a match with plenty of skill and endeavour. In the end it may boil down to whichever team has the greatest determination or luck on the day, but it promises to be a great match.

Throw in is at 7pm with Jack Gordon as referee.
