Girls U13 FL: Michaels no match for 'Cilles'

St. Michaels 3-2, St. Colmcilles 5-21.

Despite a brilliant performance by goalkeeper Niamh O'Reilly, visitors St. Colmcilles sauntered to a 25 point victory over a depleted St. Michaels side in Carlanstown on Saturday morning. St. Colmcilles led from the off and were 1-1 up after only 3 minutes, a Claire Reilly goal reduced the deficit on 4 minutes but the home side's scoring then dried up as they could only manage a further first half point from Emma Carolan as the 'Cilles raced into a 4-13 to 1-1 half time lead.  

The second half continued as the first ended with the visitors firing over 4 unanswered points in the opening 4 minutes. Claire Halpin was St. Michaels only second half scorer with 2-1 to her name.
