Ladies face daunting task

The Meath Ladies seniors have the daunting task of taking on reigning All Ireland champions Cork next Bank Holiday Monday in Semple Stadium, Thurles at 3pm.

The game is being televised live on TG4 and Meath are calling on all Royal supporters to make the trip to Tipp and be the 16th player for the team.

The team will be led into battle by Jenny Rispin after Diane O'Hora stepped down some weeks back. The girls have been busily preparing for this All Ireland qualifier since their exit of the Leinster Championship at the hands of finalists Westmeath.

It has been a tough season for the Royal girls but with so many young stars making their debuts for Meath this year and many of the team still under 21, the future is very much bright and they will take on the challenge Cork will inevitably pose with aplomb and their never say die attitude.
