Simonstown 0-14 Dunboyne 2-8

Simonstown and Dunboyne finished all square on a final score line of Simonstown 0-14  to Dunboyne's 2-8, in a game played in Simonstown.

Dunboyne led 2-4 to 0-9 at half-time. The concession of two first half goals was a killer blow for Simonstown who were playing great football. Pauric McKeever scored 0-4 and was in great form for Simonstown along with Brin Conlon playing at wing-back.

Sean Tobin was also on target hitting 0-3. Shane O'Rourke playing at centre-field had a chance to win it for the home team but his shot came of the bottom post much to the relieve of the Dunboyne team with about ten minutes left in the game.

The last five minutes of the game was nip and tuck and Dunboyne also had a chance to win it at the end when they were awarded a twenty metre free but the shot went wide.

In the end a draw was the fair result. Brin Conlon, Pauric McKeever and Sean Tobin were best for Simonstown.
