Juvenile Committee Chairman Jim Condra of the Kilmainhamwood club was critical of the attitude of some clubs who delay the start of underage games with teams being sent out on the pitch up to half an hour late at the July meeting of the County Board.

"This is unfair to referees, it's also unfair to other people and is just not acceptable," he said.

Condra, not for the first time, slammed spectators who use "ungentlemanly language" at underage games. He said that foul words are being shouted from inside and outside boundary walls and such shows very bad example to young children.

Despite those words of criticism, Condra said that that it was a wonderful first half of the year for juvenile football in the county.

Conor Tormey praised Condra and Juvenile Committee secretary Ciaran Flynn  on their work.
