AFL3: Bracks maintain unbeaten home record

Ballinabrackey's Danny Quinn

Ballinabrackey 0-12
St Brigids 0-09

The Bracks having already secured promotion to division 2 for next year, entertained St Brigids in round ten of the A league Sunday afternoon.

Hoping to remain undefeated at home this year the Bracks started well racing into a 0-05to no score lead, four from the boot of Danny Quinn, before the visitors got going. The Junior outfit began to chip away with some great scores from placed balls. In fact the chance to bring the game level was missed after Brigids failed to score from the penalty spot. With Chris O Connor providing some great work round the middle the supply to the Ballinabrackey forwards was rewarded with a half time lead 0-07 to 0-06.

The second half was a sluggish affair with both teams missing some easy opportunities. Plenty of tough talking throughout and hard work both teams had to earn each score and that they did. Brigids failed to take the lead in the game and the Bracks pushed on to make see the game out 0-12 to 0-09.
