Kilskyre 3-6 Wolfe Tones 1-13

After twenty minutes in Athboy and eight points up it looked like Kilskyre were going to sail home and notch up another victory in the Intermediate Hurling Championship, but Wolfe Tones had other ideas and never gave up.  Eventually they took control in the second half and left Athboy with a one point victory over Kilskyre.

Once again it was Derek Muldoon who was on fire in the first half scoring 3 well taken goals and popped over 2 frees.  Along with 2 well taken points from Niall Farrelly and Niall Geraghty Kilskyre looked to be comfortable in every sector.  But in the second half Kilskyre could only add two points from placed balls to their score line and Wolfe Tones took control.  Kilskyre had some fine performances from Michael Geraghty and Patrick Briody in defence, the ever reliable Seanie Geraghty in mid field, Derek Muldoon and Niall Geraghty up front.
