U16FL: Moynalty on fire

Moynalty U16s produced a brillant performance on home soil against their north Meath rivals Kilmainhamwood on Tuesday night.

On what was a perfect evening for football the young reds came out all guns blazing and ran up 2-06 in the first quarter to stun their opponents .The wood rallied before halftime with 2-02 but went in trailing by 3-09 to 2-03 after a very attacking firsthalf.The second half turned out to be an exibition of accurate shooting with the home side outscoring their opponents by 1-12 to 2-00 with great scores from Byran mc cormack,Niall o connor,Adam Reilly,James Lynch,Thomas Carolan and Shaun Nevin.It would be impossible to to single out best on the night as this was as close to a complete performance from any team as the incredible tally of 4-21 underlines.The young reds roll on and this train will take some stopping and is a credit to the hard working underage mentors .It completed a great week for the club with 3 victories in 4 days by the junior b,junior d and u16s .The summer is coming long may it continue.
