Dunderry took on Gaeil Colmcille in this MFL Division 5 Round 5 match on Saturday afternoon, the visitor's opened the scoring within the opening 3 minutes and were 0-2 to 0-0.

Then Dunderry replied when Aron Feeney at cornerback broke down an attack and fed Eoghan Daly who in turn found Oisin Martyn he beat 2 defenders and laid a pass across  the goalmouth for Shane Gartland to volley into the net this was followed 2 more points one each from Gartland and Daly. The visitor's kept in touch and apart from a superb block by Mickey Dowdall and a brilliant save from keeper Calvin Coffey Colmcille would have been 2 goals to the good. In the 25th minute a move involving Gartland, David Harper and Peter Casey who found Daly and he calmly slotted into the net, the visitor's finally got reward for some hard determined work and in the 28th minute got a goal to leave the halftime score 2-2 to 1-6 in favour of Gaeil Colmcille.

The 2nd half started with a fine point from Daly, the in the 40th minute Dowdall at halfback won the ball and passed it down the touchline to Harper he took on his marker and put a dangerous ball over to a unmarked Eoin Smyth who slotted the ball across the keeper into the net. Casey in the 50th minute scored a superb point after good work from Dowdall, Harper and Martyn he side stepped his marker and put over a fine point then followed up with a well taken free. The visitor's hauled back the score to 2 points but Daly scored a point in the last minute and Dunderry held out to win by 3 points.
