Clonard 3-13
Kilbride 1-7
Clonard made it four wins on the trot to go joint top of their division following this convincing 12 point win over Kilbride in a game played at the losers' home venue last Sunday morning.
The home side started the brightest in extremely wet conditions and sent over a brace of points before Clonard settled and fired over a trio of well taken points from Gary Raleigh, Kenneth Darby and Eanan Lynch. Two goals from full-forward Darby gave Clonard a six point cushion at the break, the visitors leading on a scoreline of 2-4 to 0-4.
Following the change of ends, it was all one way traffic as the visitors dominated all sectors of the field. Points from Raleigh, Alan Farrell, Stephen Reilly, Lynch, Eoghan Connolly and Cormac Fitzsimons helped Clonard on their way to victory. With time running out, both sides traded three-pointers with the Clonard goal coming from an acute angle from the boot of Raleigh.
