Castletown after this result are on one point after two matches in Division 3 of the B league.
In fairness the result didn't really reflect the game. At halftime the home team had a 2 point advantage 1-5 to 6pts after being level on 3 occasions . 1st half points for Castletown were 3 from Jonathan Ginnitty and 1 each from his brother Damien, John Donegan and Paul Cribbin.
Castletown started the second half the stronger and we're 1 -9 to 1-7 up with 39 mins gone with a goal from full forward Conor Price and 1 point each from Damien Ginnitty, Shane Farrelly and Matthew Carroll. With 44 mins gone it was 1-9 each then the visitors tired and Dunboyne tagged on 3-1 in the final ten mins but to Castletown s credit they replied with 1-2 in the final 5 mins a goal from John Donegan and 2 more points for Jonathan Ginnitty to take his tally to 5 to leave the final score 4-10 to 2-11. Castletown now play Ratoath on next Saturday evening at 6 pm in Castletown in Rnd 3 of the B league.
