The East Meath Schools GAA Committee recently welcomed new sponsors in Boyne Cars in conjunction with Opel for the 2015 Cooney Cup and Corn Cois Farraige Schools GAA Competitons. The Cooney Cup and Corn Cois Farraige schools GAA competitions are in their 2nd year and involves pupils and teams made up from 5th and 6th class across the 12 local primary schools across the parishes of St Pats Stamullen, St Colmcilles, St Vincents Ardcath, Duleek/Bellewstown, St Marys Donore and Wolf Tones Drogheda. The Regional Competition has been widely acclaimed and has the backing of the Meath County Board, Louth County Board and the Leinster Council.
The competitions are currently into Round 3 this week. This year will see the Corn Cois Farraige Final played at 11am in Pairc Tailteann on Friday June 12th followed by the Cooney Cup Final itself at 12:30 on the same day. Defending Cooney Cup Champions are Duleek Boys NS.
