All Ireland Minor B Camogie Championship

Meath 4-18  Kildare 1-4

Meath recorded their third win in a row with a comprehensive victory at home to Kildare. Played in near perfect conditions for camogie in Rathmolyon on Saturday,it took some time for both teams to settle with Aoife Minogue opening the home team's account with a free on 9 minutes.

The opening period was keenly contested and Meath only put some daylight between themselves and Kildare when the Kilmessan duo of Nadine Doyle and Megan Thynne scored a goal apiece in the 26th and 29th minutes respectively.the half-time score was 2-9 to 1-4.

The Meath management team expressed their displeasure at the ''soft'' nature of Kildare's scores. The Meath defence took this on board and marshalled by Maeve Clince and Fia O'Brien, the Royal girls succeeded in keeping the Lilywhites scoreless for the entire second-half.

Amy Coyne and Megan Thynne added further goals to leave the full-time score 4-18 to 1-4. Best for Meath were Fia O'Brien, Aoife Minogue, Megan Thynne and Amy Gaffney.

Meath face a difficult match next week-end with an away trip to face a strong Antrim team.
