Manager Sean Barry has handed the Meath Under 21 captain's armband to Shane McEntee. The talented St Peter's, Dunboyne footballer was part of the Meath minor team in 2011 and 2012. On both occasions Dublin proved their masters in Leinster and All Ireland finals. He was also one of the stars in the Royals run to last year's Leinster Under 21 final only to lose to Dublin again.

Meath take on neighbours Westmeath in the first round of the Leinster Under 21 football championship on Wednesday March 4th at Pairc Tailteann. The team in green and gold will be hoping to make up for a disappointing run in this year's Hastings Cup competition.
