St Peters Shane Comiskey gets in his shot as Keith Fitzsimons St Oliver's closes in at Simonstown.

St Peters Dunboyne 2-13
St Oliver's Oldcastle 1-5

St Peters Dunboyne proved too strong for St Oliver's in the North Leinster Post Primary Senior B Section A final today at Simonstown. The competition is run by Meath Coaching & Games in conjunction with Leinster Second Level Schools Committee.

Points from Shane Comiskey and David McEntee had St Peters ahead early in the opening half. With ten minutes gone Conor Keeley was fouled in the Oldcastle square and the full forward, as in the county minor final, duly converted the spot kick. Olivers opening score arrived on the 15th minute courtesy of Conor Delaney but there was no stopping Dunboyne and five points without reply, including a brace from McEntee and a fine individual effort from Jordan McLoughlin opened up a nine point gap. Adam Reihill got his team's second score before Comiskey finished the half in style with a suburb goal. St Peters led at the break 2-7 to 0-2.

The opening ten minutes of the second half also belonged to the winners. Points from Comiskey, Conor Finn, Ronan Jones and McEntee (2) extended their lead. The Oldcastle school were dealt another blow when losing centre back Jack Coyle to a black card but for the closing ten minutes they faired much better. Points from Paul Fagan and Shane Barkey either side of a converted penalty from Darren Gibney put a more respectable look on the scoreboard.

This section was made up of eight Post Primary Schools in Meath: St. Ciarans`s CS Kells, Ashbourne CS, Boyne CS, Ratoath College, Dunshaughlin CC, O`Carolan College Nobber, St. Peter`s Dunboyne and St. Oliver`s PP Oldcastle
