U-15:  The U-15 team brought the curtain down on their league campaign when playing Skryne on Saturday afternoon.  The Final score was Seneschalstown 1-09 Skryne 3-17 with a report from the match below.

Seneschalstown U-15's concluded their campaign by going down by 14 points to Skryne in horrendous conditions on Saturday afternoon. Had a victory been achieved, the team would have had an outside shot of reaching the semi-finals. A bright first half left players and management optimistic with the teams level at the break. However, a combination of lack of numbers and injuries saw Skryne gain the upper hand in the second half. A goal from Cathal Finnegan as well as points from Finnegan, Robbie Wogan (4) and Alan Mulvany saw the visitors post a respectable first half tally of 1-07. However, Skryne matched this tally by hitting 3 goals as well as a point. This left it all to play for in the second period.

Skryne's ability introduce to fresh legs proved to be key. Seneschalstown could not cope with this as Skryne were able to kick an impressive 16 points in the half. Injuries hampered Seneschalstown's effort as they just managed to kick 2 points as the incessant rain got heavier. Wogan and Dylan Keating kicked Seneschalstown's two points but they couldn't get any closer.

The team put in a lot of effort over the few weeks of the competition but unfortunately, results didn't go their way. They will be hoping to achieve more success next year in the under 16 competitions.
